I have been working in the creative industry since I graduated from university. My "superpower" is the ability to run with a project from the initial contact right through to the final approval stage and subsequent go live/production end point. A focus of mine is inclusive design, ensuring that visual communication solutions are accessible for all users across the digital and print space. I have an inherent global outlook from living and working in different continents.

If you ask my colleagues, friends and clients what impresses them about me, they'll say it's my positive energy and dedication. With a positive outlook and infectious enthusiasm, I take a client's business objectives and create design solutions that are on brief and on budget. I am organized, calm under pressure, and equally effective working individually or as a team.

In essence, I love being a creative all-rounder, and I love being able to help clients visually express their products/services and achieve their goals. I am aligned with socially responsible businesses, caring for all of humanity as well as our planet.

Why
graphic design?

As a youngster, Karen was often found with her nose in a National Geographic magazine or other publications from that time. They gave her insights to the larger world, although it was the photography, logos and captivating design that really caught her eye. Plus groundbreaking ad campaigns, inspiration was everywhere.

Karen has been fortunate to make a career from these passions. Her first professional job was with the largest Australian-owned advertising agency at the time, and has continued on from there. She has also taught Graphic Design to second year technical college students and really loved working with our future designers.

Each and every design brief is a joy and a challenge, plus an opportunity for growth. It doesn’t get much better than that!
